Rimini, 20th March 2018 . For 2018 the tourism industry . which in Italy accounts for 4.2% of the GDP (increasing by 2.4% in 2017 compared to the previous year) . there is once more the (renewed) the dynamic expo proposal of Italian Exhibition Group with the exhibitions TTG Travel Experience, SIA Hospitality Design and SUN Beach&Outdoor Style, dedicated to the entire Travel and Hospitality chain, being held simultaneously at Rimini Expo Centre from 10th to 12th October.
The largest marketplace for Italy´s tourism supply and demand (TTG Travel Experience), increasingly integrated in the leading expo for the hotel hospitality industry (SIA Hospitality Design) and that for outdoor tourism (SUN Beach&Outdoor Style) in its most innovative trendsetting formats, will occupy the entire Rimini expo centre. A unique threesome on the Italian trade fair panorama, brought together with the PlanItsphere platform, the new brand launched with the aim of further highlighting the three events´ international profile. PlanItsphere has just been presented in Berlin, with the conference ´The latest Consumer Trends´, which, with the Semiotic strategic design method, illustrated the trends that in coming years will influence and guide travellers´ choices according to five consumer trends (Feel YOUnique, New Ecology, Be Happy, Fun & Magic, The Easy Way).
Following a 2017 edition that was important as far as both figures were concerned (72,667 attendees - 5% more than 2016 - and 1,500 buyers from 90 countries), and regarding content (2,550 exhibitors, 150 destinations and 300 events organized by IEG and its partners), the 2018 edition will focus particularly on Destination Italy, with the Incoming area increasing from 3 to 4 halls, in a layout featuring a geographic route through the stands of the Regions and private concerns. However, the expo´s growth is even wider and also regards The World, with the major international destinations interested in developing business with tourist agents, and Global Village, which will host tour operators and enterprises offering products and services for tourism, addressing the distribution network.
The program´s contents will provide trade visitors the means for understanding the importance of the tourism demand, with phenomena that are already solid, such as the sector of the Exclusive Travel Experience, which has grown continually since 2011, with a 6.2% increase forecast over the next ten years, and Glamping, ´glamorous´ outdoor vacations which, after having revolutionized the way people stay on campsites, is also ´contaminating´ the hotel sector. On the innovation front, the appointment´s with BeTheNext, the contest dedicated to young talents. An integral part of the contents is Industry Vision Travel&SHospitality: a compass for guiding all the sector´s trade members among the scenarios that are transforming the competitive context and the national and international market.
2018 will also be a particularly important year for Italian Exhibition Group´s tourism division, a key player at two events in China thanks to the joint venture launched with the agreement with VNU Exhibitions Asia: in Shanghai from 24th to 27th May with the 15th Shanghai World Travel Fair (SWTF) and in Chengdu from 5th to 7th September with Travel Trade Market (TTM).
