Public Policy Manager of Airbnb Italy
Born in 1985, Alessandro Tommasi has already gained solid experience in the public affairs arena. In January 2016, he was appointed Public Policy Manager of Airbnb Italy, the leading platform for the reliable sharing of unique accommodation worldwide, after spending four years at Cattaneo Zanetto & Co, Italy’s leading lobbying consultancy.
A graduate in international trade from the University of Milan, Alessandro then specialised at ISPI and the London School of Economics. His first experience of the profession was during his university years, when he was an assistant at the European Parliament; on his return from Brussels, he worked in the institutional relations office of Confindustria.
Alessandro speaks four languages, and is a leader writer for online daily The European Post. He regularly holds seminars and lectures on public affairs issues, and his areas of expertise cover data protection and cyber security, e-commerce and copyright. He trained at the Teulié Military School.
Despite the pressures of work, he still has time to take care of his beloved horse, Mischief. His favourite listing is an extremely elegant (and pure white) design apartment in Milan, a stone’s throw from Porta Sempione.
